Since long time ago Argentina has been infected with corruption making hard the recovery of its economy. After the collapse of 2000 and 2001 a lot of medium sized companies broke down raising the unemployment rates to 18% and increasing the poverty levels to 40%. That is to say almost fifteen million people were living in poverty conditions.

In this context Ahdonay Foundation began its work in 2005 developing Projects and Programs in order to figth poverty and social exclusion through the deployment of Information and Communication Technologies Strategies and Solutions.

At the present time Argentina occupies the 105th place in between 185 indexed countries according to The Global Corruption Perception Index 2007 (CPI) launched recently in Berlin by Transparency International (TI). On the other hand, unemployment levels stays at 13%. Nevertheless, from the mentioned percentage, 3.5% belongs to people who receive 40 per month under social programs without working. In addition, it is important to add that 20% of the argentinean children have no access to a proper nutrition.

Taking everything into account, more than ever before the International Cooperation and Assistance are necessary for the country´s revitalization making the participation of non profit actors a sine qua non condition owing to a lot of governors infected with corruption.
